GriffinTek Solutions
Backend
I originally built the backend using FastAPI because of its speed, lightweight nature, and ability to scale efficiently. It provided a well-structured, async-first approach that made API development seamless. However, as I evaluated business needs, I transitioned to Formspree to streamline form handling and reduce infrastructure costs until scaling requires a dedicated backend.
Frontend
Next.js was the ideal choice for the frontend due to its powerful SEO optimizations, server-side rendering, and seamless React integration. This ensures a fast, dynamic user experience while maintaining performance and scalability.
Database
I initially set up PostgreSQL on DigitalOcean for its structured schema and ability to handle relational data efficiently. While the database is currently not in use due to the frontend-only deployment, it is ready to be re-integrated as the business scales.
Deployment & Infrastructure
I deployed the frontend using Vercel for its seamless Next.js integration, automatic scaling, and developer-friendly CI/CD pipelines. The original full-stack version was hosted on DigitalOcean, which provided a flexible and cost-effective environment for the backend and database.
